Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (2025) “You're right. I guess the question is, do these stories convince us of a lie or do they resonate with something deep inside us that is profoundly true, that we can't express any other way, except for storytelling?” “Touché, Padre.” “ Father Jud that was… very good.” -Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery Perception is perhaps the greatest barrier facing faith nowadays. Both in and out of The Church. Perception consistently holds us hostage, disavowing us the opportunity to experience Catholicism as it was, and is intended to be conveyed to the wider world. I certainly do not have all the answers in that regard, to be honest I don't think we will get all the answers on this side of eternity. What we can do however, is keep the conversation of faith going, always returning to the fact that Christianity was not started by a litany of rules or regulations. but by a man. A humble carpenter from Nazareth who was God incarnate....

Risen (2016)

Risen “Have you come far?” “All that for peace, Is there no other way? “You look for something you'll never find Tribune. You look for the wrong thing.” -Risen There is something surprising about a single moment. In these instances where our life changes course, a single moment becomes the culmination of all our experiences up until that striking clarity of vision. The film eloquently conveys the power of the moment to forever alter our perspective. Taking this idea of powerful change and applying it over time Risen demonstrates the true nature of change, that of a continual journey throughout life. The power of a moment is not housed ...

The Gorge 2025

The Gorge ”If you are lonely when alone, you are in bad company.” “Everything is a dangerous drug except reality, which is unendurable.” “You bury enough secrets, the graveyard runs out of room.” “Three things cannot be long hidden, the sun, the moon and the truth.” -The Gorge Silence, it is one of those rare instances that can be both peaceful and full of fear in the same moment. In today's world silence is seemingly a luxury that we can't afford. Though, as I think about it, It may be more honest to say that silence is a luxury that we often disregard because it makes us face our deepest fears. Perhaps The greatest barrier to assuaging these fears is believing that we have to face them on our own. Though, that is simply not true. There is always help out there. We just need to know where to look. The Gorge is simply unique in how it approaches this idea of facing our inner demons. The tale of two military snipers keeping guard over a mysterious gorge is a lesson in...
