Scrubs (2026), season 10
“Look at me… We do the most good we can in a single shift and then, as hard as it is, we go home. That’s the job.”“When we think about a hospital, the first things that come to mind are illness, death, pain and disease. But, if you look in the right places there is also love.”
“And sure, love can sting sometimes, but love is also the thing that heals us.”
-Scrubs (2026), Season 10 Episodes 2 and 3
Scrubs, in its prolonged 10 season existence, has always stood as a reminder of the relationship between humor and healing. The medical careers of JD, Elliott and Turk are as down to earth as you can make them. At least in the emotional sense, Scrubs, elucidates the age-old cliche of laughter being the best medicine. This TV series is beautifully routine, in the most authentic way possible. In other words, the consistency of Scrubs is where its true pathos lies. I really can't emphasize enough, these first three episodes of the Scrubs revival are a delight. They are a clear reflection of what made us fall in love with, and respect all the doctors at Sacred Heart hospital, ever since the show first aired, over 25 years ago. In all honesty, it's remarkable how the show is able to come back after such a long absence and not missing a beat. JD, Elliott and Turk are as consistently heartfelt, honest and humorous as ever. As of this moment, Sacred Heart hospital still beats with a strong pulse.
As Scrubs returns, it just now strikes me that one of the show's most enduring strengths is concealed in its choice of medium. The half hour comedy. 20 minutes, excluding commercials, and Scrubs maximizes its potential, focusing its thematic weight on the act of healing its audience. By its very nature, Scrubs is a microcosm of its televised form. The series is designed to uplift, to be a reminder that life can be difficult. Though there is always the next opportunity to do better than the day before. In these first two episodes, showrunner Aseem Batra and her team wonderfully respect what came before. Taking up the stethoscope from series creator Bill Lawrence, and showing us once again, the innate humor, heart and humanity It takes to don a pair of Scrubs…
Here's hoping the rest of season 10 is as wonderful as these first three episodes.
Rated TV-14 for crude humor, sexual references and language.
I found the first three episodes of Scrubs season 10 wonderfully entertaining, humorously insightful and deeply meaningful. I hope in some way, you did too.
