The innate thematic richness of Predator: Badlands catches you off guard in the best of ways. Not that a Predator film can't be defined by its thematics, they most certainly can. Though, Badlands intermingles these themes into a world that is lively and brimming with a reality that speaks to the best in the sci-fi action genre of film. Death is our titular Predator's aim, though life is what we get in its stead. The hunting grounds of the planet Genna, maintain a uniqueness that hides a treacherous underbelly, alive with death and danger.
Yes, Predator Badlands is a concise and streamlined sci-fi action thrill ride. It is a film that knows what it wants, and it executes those desires with extraordinary skill and passion. Its consistency is its greatest weapon, and its speed is a fantastic thematic motivator. This enthralling hunt of the Yautja, Dek and his humanoid, android companion, Thia is a moving depiction of found family and the protective purpose of death dealing skill. This film excels on all levels. Director Dan Trachtenberg and his team, wonderfully continue their revitalization of the Predator franchise. Allowing us to ponder a meaningfully poignant question. Where does the purpose of a Predator truly lie, in the protection of others or in their destruction?...
It may be hard to imagine, but it is a very real possibility that life is found in the midst of death and grief. Though, you don't have to take my word for it, just look at those standing at your side. Perhaps it is true. Perhaps, companionship is our greatest weapon in the hunt for that death-defying truth.

Rated PG-13 for sequences of strong sci-fi violence

I found Predator: Badlands to be visually enthralling, enormously entertaining and deeply meaningful. I hope in some way, you do too.

  Superman (2025) "Your choices. Your actions… That's what makes you who you are." -Superman (2025) Is there such a thing as too much charm? In this case, I don't think so. Superman 2025 blasts on to the big screen with a buoyancy that, by all the estimates of our modern eyes, should not work. Though, this film succeeds with flying colors. In my humble opinion, there is no wrong here. James Gunn’s take on Superman is exhilaratingly entertaining from moment 1. This film is a reminder of a golden age of comics in the best way possible, Superman 2025 should be the definition of wearing your heart on your sleeve in the dictionary.
