Encountering fame and fortune with a grace and poise that draws all into their orbit. Perhaps that is why a documentary crew has seen fit to delve into the inner workings of The Muppets most ambitious, yet intimate come back yet to date. Kermit and the gang have certainly outdone themselves this time. Allowing Miss Piggy to poke and prod at the upper crust of Hollywood's most glamorous elite.
Though, Up Late with Miss Piggy isn't your average late-night talk show. Up Late with Miss Piggy is enriched with an honesty that elevates both its guests and the Muppets themselves, it is a refreshing tactic that is rarely given sway in the talk show format. A format that is often dominated by short soundbites and the treacherous waters of gossip. Indeed, Miss Piggy, and all of The Muppets are connoisseurs of joy and that enthusiasm can't that help but rub off on their celebrity co-stars and guess
An air of humor and civility defines this most recent iteration of the Muppet show. This show is a charm filled reminder of the magic inherent in the visual mediums of film and television. The Muppets convey that magic, not through a skill they have learned, rather it seems to be embedded in their very nature. It is a consequence of who they are. In other words, the Muppets are able to accomplish remarkable things because they're the Muppets, nothing more, nothing less. Executive producers Bob Kushell and Bill Prady alongside Kermit the frog bringing the Muppets back to the televised medium that gave them their start. Allowing us to see all the humor, heart and skill present in a talk show's many helping hands.
