Lego Horizon Adventures 2024

“Because of your destiny.”

“Why are you talking like that?”

“I just want to add a bit of drama”

-Lego Horizon Adventures

Lego Horizon Adventures is less the Travelers Tales variety of Lego parity, and more the joyous mismatched delight of creative play that comes from the inventiveness inherent in these colorful building bricks we call Lego. Sony's Horizon franchise is tailor-made for the Lego treatment as its post-apocalyptic world's defining factor is mechanical beasts. In other words, robot dinosaurs. Lego, brings these prehistoric creatures into the lush setting of Horizon, with a sense of play and quirky enthusiasm, that emanates through its vibrant color palette and delightful cast of humorous characters.
Horizon Adventures marks a departure from previous Lego video games in its approach to its environment. In previous games the Lego mini fig characters and the bricks they corrected were the primary indicators of the Lego influence. The environments in which these characters traversed were real to life, representations of the franchises they were reflecting. Horizon Adventures however, takes the environments of Horizon Zero Dawn and constructs them completely out of Lego, boards, bricks and the like. In effect the world is a giant Lego set, seemingly ready for the player's creativity to emerge.
Lego video games are known for their humor, their ability to take our favorite stories and reimagine them in an inventive and fun way. Lego Horizon Adventures does that in spades, though it does it with more of a sense of creation, spontaneity and player creativity than was present in its predecessors.
That is where Horizon Adventures really shines. Sure, these are not deep systems of creation, this game is for a younger audience after all. Though these systems do their part, they allow for the world of imagination that comes from building and interacting with physical Lego sets. This game is a family game through and through. It is meant to be experienced through all eyes and experience levels, the combat systems reflect this belief as well. Allowing all parties to enjoy the adventures of Aloy and her friends to the fullest
Horizon Lego Adventures reinterprets a robot dinosaur apocalypse, as a robot dinosaur apocalypse but for all ages. Didn't I say That Lego and Horizon are a perfect match? Developer Studio Gobo rebuilds Guerrilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn into a charm filled experience that brings the creativity of the Lego to life in a whole new way. Your adventure awaits.

Rated E-10+ for fantasy violence, language

I found Lego Horizon Adventures to be charmingly delightful, very entertaining and creatively inventive. I hope in some way you do too.

Lego Horizon Adventures can be purchased on PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch
